Burkenkotter & Murray

Burkenkotter & Murray

QD:
1. Murray's writing process seemed very different than what we are used to. He does a lot of planning when writing. Which I feel can be good and bad. Planning when writing is something that I seem to use a lot. Although a lot of people just like to write what is on their mind, that usually doesn't work for me. When I plan what I'm going to write it usually makes my writing more organized and keeps me on track with what I'm trying to write about.
3. The study changed the way of Burkenkotters writing, and his process along with it. This made her realize how important some of the little things can be. Such as the writing process. She realizes if you put all the small things together that they discuss, it makes the writing process much easier.
Applying and Exploring:
1. My writing experience is somewhat small. Besides what I've had to do for school, I don't usually write. I do feel I have the process down, but only to an extent. I feel my writing could always be improved. I don't usually spend much time on my writing. I could always spend more time.
MM:
While reading about Berkenkotter and Murray, I learned that I should spend more time on writing. Not rushing my writing will make it easier and more efficient. Also, I learned that discovering a writing process and applying it while writing will also help me in the long run.
